2013年に日本学術会議が審議し、それを受けて議論が続いてきましたが、ふたたび学術会議に審議を依頼することになりました。本体建設費と測定器関係経費は 7,355から8,033 億円、年間運転経費は 366〜392 億円とのことです。
また、日本学術会議の所見において「日本学術会議は、上記の調査・検討を踏まえて改 めて学術の立場から見解を取りまとめることにより、政府における最終的判断に資する用意がある」とされていることから、我が国の科学コミュニティの代表機関である日本学術 会議による見解の重要性に鑑み、ILC 計画について、本まとめが活用され、日本学術会議 において改めて審議がなされることに期待する。
