ポストドクター等の雇用・進路に関する調査
−大学 ・ 公的研究機関への全数調査 (2009 年度実績)−

「従来から行っていたポストドクター等の雇用状況の調査に加えて、職種変更・転出に関する調査を初めて行い、全数調査からポストドクター等の進路を明らかにすることが可能となりました」
とのことです。

「2009 年度内でポストドクター等として計上された人数が最も多かった月は 11 月であり、同月におけるポストドクター等の総数は 15,220 人」
「2009 年 11 月在籍のポストドクター等の分野内訳を見ると、理学が最も多く 31%(4,754人)を占め、工学の 28%(4,267 人)」「人文・社会科学は 14%(2,133人)、保健は 14%(2,107 人)、農学は 11%(1,641 人)」
「競争的資金等の外部資金で雇用されている者が 46%(6,990 人)」
「2009 年 11 月在籍のポストドクター等の中で、2010 年 4 月 1 日までに職種を変更したことが判別できた者 2,217 人に限定して職種変更後の職業を見ると、大学教員となった者が 56%(1,239 人)、公的研究機関等の研究開発職が 14%(229 人)、民間企業の研究開発職が 8%(176 人)」
「2009 年 11 月に在籍していたポストドクター等の年齢層内訳を 5 歳区分で見ると、30〜34 歳が最も割合が高く 42%を占めてい」る
40歳以上は12.5%。
2008年度は18000人でしたから、だいぶ減った印象です。重複を排除したのが理由とのこと。
前回データとの比較ができないので、これをどう評価すればよいのか分かりませんが、もしポスドクの雇用情勢が改善しているのなら、喜ばしいとは思います。
もう少しデータを詳しく見てみたいと思います。
